Creative Writing

Introduction

Creative Writing gives you unlimited ways to express yourself and tell stories that matter to you. At UC, you can learn skills and techniques to create unique worlds or describe lived experiences.

With a Minor in Creative Writing you can develop your skills in forms of creative writing that fit your interests, including poetry, novellas, fiction, stage writing, screenwriting, and more.

What will my study involve?

  • Develop writing techniques and communication skills through guided writing projects.
  • Courses include writing papers with a focus on creative writing, including literature, poetry, stage and more.
  • If selected, your final year can include a full writing project taking you from idea creation through production to review.

For the minor in the Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, Digital Screen, Health, Product Design, Science, Social and Environmental Sustainability, Sport, or Youth and Community Leadership, choose 75 points from the following courses:
